In today's society service is as important or evenimportant than it was in the past. But for a lot of people it is not a priority.
Service comes in many forms such as: a smile, a hug, a gift, doing a chore for someone (like unloading the dishwasher, or taking out the garbage), giving of your time to someone or to some organization, making a card, and many more.
In today's world, people are more and more worried about themselves. This can either led to selfishness or to service for the wrong reasons.
We shouldn't serve others just to get praises or for "the honors of men" as the scriptures say.
We have a responsibility to serve others for the right reasons. We need to serve others just because their our brothers and sisters in the spirit. We need to serve others just because we want them to have the same opportunities we have. We need to serve others because we want to see them succeed
By giving truly meaningful service without prejudice, we can make a difference in our lives, those we serve and those who see us serve.
Service should come quietly but have a loud voice, service should be done silently but be a loudest noise we hear.
